Lodging - Timeless Zen House and Placeless Zen House

Timeless Zen House and Placeless Zen House are 2 guest residences capable of accommodating 60 overnight guests in single, double, and dorm-style rooms featuring forest and mountain views. There are several single rooms, but most rooms are double rooms with twin beds and an ensuite sink. Each room shares a modern tiled bath with the adjacent room.

Accommodations are quiet, simple, convenient, and comfortable. Each House has a spacious lounge with a magnificent view of the Catskill Mountains. Conveniently located inside each House is a 300 sq. ft. multi-purpose room, which can be used as a smaller meeting room, break-out space, or conference room. Timeless Zen House also has a 1,000 sq. ft. medium-sized hall on the first floor, which can be used for meditation/yoga practice or as a conference room. from Manhattan
take the FDR North and cross Williams Bridge
→ take I-87(NYS Thruway, Albany 87). After Toll Booth continue on I-87
→ take the Taconic State Pkwy North
drive for about one and a half hours to exit Route 23 W (Claverack)
→ take State Route 23 West. Claverack (3.6 miles)
→ make a right turn into the driveway of the Won Dharma Center

Cross the White Stone Bridge
→ take the Hutchinson River Parkway North (7.8 Miles)
continue to exit 13 (Sign: Saw Mill Pkwy, Cross County Pkwy)

take the New Jersey Turnpike North
→ take the Garden State Parkway North (exit 11)
→ take I-87 North. Continue to exit 21

Continue to Route 23B (Left)
→ merge onto Route 23 East via the ramp on the LEFT toward HUDSON (Portions toll)

By Train (Amtrak)

From Penn Station, Manhattan to Hudson, NY

From Boston, MA (South Station) to Hudson, NY
If you are coming from Boston, you can take AMTRAK from Boston Station, MA to Albany-Rensselaer Station, NY leaving once daily at 11: 45 AM (5.5 hour ride) and then take a train to Hudson, NY. You can contact AMTRAK at 800-872-7245 or visit their website at www.amtrak.com

Taxi service is generally available at the Hudson station. We recommend that you make a reservation for the taxi, especially in the evening. It is about a 15-minute drive from the Hudson AMTRAK Station to the Won Dharma Center.

By Bus

The Won Dharma Center is not easily accessible by bus. We recommend you take Amtrak when you use public transportation.

If you are coming from Boston, you can take Greyhound from Boston to Albany and then get a train to Hudson, NY.
Buses leave Boston about six times a day on weekdays, from around 7:00 AM until 8:30 PM, and about five times a day on weekends from around 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Fares range from $38 to $50.

By Plane

The closest airport to the Won Dharma Center is the Albany International Airport in Albany. We are a forty-minute drive from Albany International Airport. A taxi from Albany International Airport to AMTRAK Rensselaer Station takes ten minutes for an 8-mile trip.

The other major airports are Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK. If you are using these airports, you can rent a car at the airport and drive to the Won Dharma Center. Travel times to/from these airports vary due to traffic and weather-related conditions, but are generally 2 hours and 40 minutes from LaGuardia, 2 hours 50 minutes from JFK, and 2 hours 40 minutes from Newark International Airport.

If you use public transportation from these airports to get to the Won Dharma Center, you can take a cab, the subway, or a train to Penn Station in Manhattan, and then take AMTRAK to Hudson, NY.
